Data Deletion Instructions
You can permanently delete your Rippit account and all associated data yourself, at any time, directly from your profile — no email or support request required.
Delete Your Data on the Website
- 1.Sign in at rippit.nyc and open your Profile from the sidebar.
- 2.Select Edit Profile.
- 3.Scroll to the bottom of the Edit Profile window and select Delete All Data & Log Out.
- 4.Confirm by selecting Delete Everything.
Your account and data are deleted immediately and you are logged out. This action cannot be undone.
Delete Your Data in the iOS App
Open the Profile tab, choose Edit Profile, and use the delete account option at the bottom of the screen. This performs the same immediate, permanent deletion as the website.
What Is Deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes your data from our active systems, including:
- →Your profile (name, username, avatar, preferences, and settings)
- →Your login credentials and authentication record
- →Reviews, ratings, comments, discussions, and tips you posted
- →Photos and videos you uploaded
- →Follows, RSVPs, upvotes, lists, and notifications
- →Data received from connected third-party services (see below)
Limited data may be retained where required or permitted by law (for example, security and audit logs, or copies in routine backup systems pending deletion in the ordinary course), as described in our Privacy Policy. Retained data is never displayed publicly after account deletion.
Data From Instagram and Other Connected Services
If you connected Instagram or SoundCloud to verify ownership of an artist page, the only information we receive is your public username on that service, which is used solely as a verification signal. We never receive your password and we do not store the sign-in access token. The verification record is deleted along with everything else when you delete your account.
If you would like that verification data removed without deleting your whole account, email us using the contact below and we will remove it.
Deletion Requests by Email
If you cannot access your account, or you prefer that we handle the deletion for you, email jordan@rippit.nyc with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" from the email address associated with your account (or include the phone number you signed up with). We will verify the request and complete the deletion, and confirm once it is done.
