8ULENTINA is an interdisciplinary artist, producer, and DJ currently based in New York City. Emerging from the Oakland club scene, they co-founded the influential label and event series Club Chai, which centered diasporic narratives and non-Western sounds within the global underground. Their current project, Sillage, serves as a platform for experimental, improvisational, and archival sonic practices. 8ULENTINA is known for dynamic performances that synthesize percussive intensity, sound design, and theatricality, often drawing from their SWANA background. Their 2025 album Surpassing Disaster, released on Sillage, exemplifies their research-oriented approach to blending traditional folk traditions with electronic composition.
