Formed in Italy in 2016, 999999999 is a live techno duo known for their hardware-only performances and uncompromising approach to acid and hard techno. The project, helmed by Carlo B. and Giovanni C., quickly gained traction through a series of vinyl-only releases on their own NineTimesNine imprint, including the highly sought-after "X0001000X" in 2017. Their breakout 2018 track "300000003" on Planet Rhythm introduced their relentless, 303-driven sound to a wider audience, cementing their reputation as purveyors of raw, machine-made club music. Operating entirely without laptops, the pair relies on drum machines and modular synthesizers to create improvised, high-BPM sets that have anchored stages at Awakenings, Fabric in London, and the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas. In addition to their rigorous international touring schedule, they regularly curate their own 9x9 Invites events across Europe.
