Based in New York City, Aaron J operates as a central figure in the underground dance community through his role as founder and resident DJ of the Sure Thing collective. His sound navigates the intersection of deep, hypnotic textures and precise rhythmic structures, often drawing from minimal and left field influences. He maintains a consistent presence in key North American venues such as Nowadays in New York City and F8 in San Francisco, while also extending his reach to international circuits in cities like Amsterdam. His curatorial approach emphasizes long form progression and immersive atmospheres rather than conventional peak time tropes.
