Lex, operating under the alias AKR, is a New York based DJ focused on groove driven techno and percussive hardgroove. Raised within the festival circuit, AKR spent over a decade refining a sound that evolved from early roots in trance and bass music into a strictly rhythmic club aesthetic. Their tightly structured sets weave breakbeat textures and rolling techno with occasional trance lifts, prioritizing physical momentum and tension control. AKR has become a steady presence across New York dance floors, logging notable appearances at Public Hotel, Eris Evolution, and Hell Phone, alongside a festival booking at Elements. Currently expanding their focus into studio production, AKR continues to build a sonic identity anchored by dense grooves and sequencing discipline.
