Avalon Emerson

Genre-blurring producer/DJ, melodic techno and underground star.

Born in San Francisco and later based in Berlin, Avalon Emerson is a producer and DJ known for sets that bridge disparate eras and styles. Her approach recontextualizes dance music by weaving together house, techno, new wave, and rave obscurities with her own productions and edits. She gained significant recognition through long-standing residencies at Berghain and a diverse catalog of releases, including the 2016 EP The Frontier on Whities and her 2020 DJ-Kicks mix. Beyond her club-focused work, she explores traditional songwriting and her own vocals through the project Avalon Emerson and the Charm, which debuted with a self-titled album in 2023. Her recent activity includes the Perpetual Emotion Machine series, a project designed to integrate original productions and edits directly into her DJ sets.
