Babeitspurr is a Nigerian-Irish DJ based in New York City who approaches the decks as both a spiritual practice and a tenet of Black liberatory traditions. Her sets function as a genre-fluid journey through diasporic dance music, spanning Nola bounce, amapiano, baile funk, gqom, and jungle. She is a regular presence in the Brooklyn underground circuit, frequently performing at venues such as Nowadays, Bossa Nova Civic Club, and House of Yes. By blending nostalgic cuts with hyper-contemporary club sounds, she challenges dance floors to engage with the ongoing history of Black club culture. Her work stands out for its ability to bridge disparate global rhythms into a cohesive, high-energy experience that prioritizes embodiment and community release.
