Baltra is an electronic producer and DJ based in New York City, originally hailing from Philadelphia. He emerged during the mid 2010s lo-fi house movement, gaining early recognition through viral tracks like Never Let Go (Of Me) and Fade Away. His sound has since evolved into a versatile blend of house, breakbeat, and UK garage, often characterized by hazy textures, emotive vocal samples, and a melancholic, romantic atmosphere. Through his own imprint 96 and Forever Records, he continues to release introspective club music, including the 2019 album Ted and the 2023 mixtape Where I End. His production approach frequently bridges the gap between functional dancefloor rhythms and intimate, headphone-focused listening.
