Bambounou is a Parisian DJ and producer, born Jeremy Guindo of French, Malian, and Polish heritage. He broke through on Modeselektor's 50Weapons label and has since released on AD 93, Taapion, and his own Bambe imprint, moving between techno, electro, and club-leaning dancefloor sounds. He has played Berlin's Berghain and Panorama Bar, Paris's Concrete, Amsterdam's De School, the Freerotation festival, and MoMA PS1's Warm Up series, with Boiler Room sets in Berlin, Paris, and at DGTL Amsterdam. His studio work includes remixes for Laurent Garnier, Jessy Lanza, and Sampha. A fixture of the European underground for more than a decade, he pairs hypnotic, driving techno with a wide, crate-digging selector's range.
