Bashkka Bambashkka, known professionally as BASHKKA, is a DJ and producer born and raised in Munich, Germany, whose sound is deeply rooted in her decade spent immersed in the queer ballroom scene of New York City. Her sets and productions blend slick house, pulsating techno, and ghettotech, channeling a driving, unapologetic energy that honors the Black and Brown trans women who shaped her artistic identity. She holds residencies at Munich venues like BLITZ Club and HAMAM Nights, and has become a regular fixture at Berghain's Panorama Bar, alongside standout performances at festivals such as Glastonbury, Dekmantel, and Nuits Sonores. In 2023, she released her debut EP, "Maktub", on Nene H's Umay label, followed by the "Maktub Reloaded" remix package and a contribution to Mala Junta's "Amniote Editions II" compilation. Beyond the DJ booth, she is a vocal activist advocating for South West Asian and North African and queer representation within club culture. By fusing technical precision with fierce authenticity, BASHKKA reclaims the rebellious origins of electronic music for the contemporary dancefloor.
