Ben Böhmer is a German producer and live performer born in Göttingen in 1994 and based in Berlin, working in melodic and progressive house shaped by deep house and atmospheric indie rock. After the Black Pattern EP in 2014 he signed to Anjunadeep, where his debut album Breathing (2019, with the title track featuring Nils Hoffmann and Malou) and Begin Again (2021) established his piano led, slow building style, followed by the album Bloom in 2024 and a move to Ninja Tune that began with One Last Call featuring Felix Raphael in 2023. He performs live on keys and synths rather than DJing, and his Cercle set played from a hot air balloon above Cappadocia in Turkey became one of that series' most watched streams, followed by the concert recording Live From Printworks London in 2020, a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix in 2021, and a Cercle Odyssey show in Paris in 2025. He has remixed Monolink's Father Ocean and continues to release on Ninja Tune with the single Caught Up In The Fire featuring JONAH. He matters today as the live act that made emotional, sunrise ready melodic house a festival headline draw.
