New Zealand brothers spinning deep, jazzy house with hazy, hypnotic late-night groove

Chaos In The CBD is a house duo of brothers Ben and Louis Helliker-Hales, raised in Auckland, New Zealand and based in London. Their sound leans on deep, jazzy, organic house built from warm chords, live-sounding drums, and rolling late-night grooves. In 2017 they launched the independent label In Dust We Trust, and in 2025 they released their acclaimed full-length A Deeper Life through it. They are longtime fixtures on the Boiler Room circuit, with sets recorded in London, Melbourne, and Barcelona, alongside festival appearances such as Defected Croatia and Glitch. After more than a decade together, the pair remain one of the most beloved live selectors in modern deep house.
