Born in Germany and based in London, Chris Avantgarde is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist and producer whose work bridges the gap between cinematic composition and peak-time electronic music. He gained significant recognition through his collaborations with Anyma on Afterlife, including the widely played tracks Consciousness and Eternity, which helped define a modern melodic techno sound. Beyond his Afterlife output, he has released music on labels such as Drumcode and Dirtybird, while maintaining a parallel career composing for film, television, and gaming. His recent work centers on his own Hyperreal imprint, which serves as a platform for his debut album and a broader exploration of genre-blending electronic production. Avantgarde stands out for its ability to integrate orchestral depth and storytelling into high-impact club environments, consistently prioritizing emotional resonance over rigid genre constraints.
