Carlos Aguilar operates as Concrete Husband, a New York City-based producer, DJ, and classically trained flutist who bridges avant-garde composition with hypnotic techno. Originally from San Diego, he relocated to Brooklyn in 2021 and quickly became a fixture at local institutions like Basement, Knockdown Center, and Bossa Nova Civic Club. His discography includes critically acclaimed releases such as Piel and Pelvic Resonance on White Owl Records, alongside the 2025 EP Your Bitter Tears on Aversion Records. Beyond the club circuit, Aguilar is recognized for his virtuosic live instrumentation, having toured Europe with Eartheater in 2024 and contributed flute arrangements to the A24 film Beau is Afraid. His DJ sets and live performances fold raw electronics and manipulated samples into unpredictable sonic terrain, generating moments of psychedelic tension and sensual release.
