Euphoric trance and rave-influenced techno from a Danish label founder.

Najaaraq Vestbirk, known as Courtesy, is a Danish DJ, producer, and multidisciplinary artist based in Berlin, Germany. She is recognized for her euphoric, trance-leaning sets that blend fast techno, 1990s rave influences, and sped-up house. Vestbirk founded the label and interdisciplinary arts platform Against Interpretation Club, formerly known as Kulør, and previously co-ran the Copenhagen imprint Ectotherm. Her discography includes the 2023 debut album "fra eufori," which featured ambient trance covers of dance classics, and her 2024 sophomore album "intimate yell," a deep house and vocal-driven project. She has performed at major international venues and festivals, including Berghain in Berlin, Sónar in Barcelona, and Primavera Sound, while maintaining a regular residency on NTS Radio. With a practice that bridges contemporary art and club culture, Courtesy continues to expand the boundaries of electronic music through her emotionally resonant and conceptually rigorous approach.
