Berlin based producer and DJ Luca Venezia, known as Curses, crafts a dark and romantic sound that bridges the gap between his New York City punk roots and contemporary electronic music. His work frequently incorporates ghostly vocals, live guitar, and heavy synthesizers, drawing from New Wave, post punk, EBM, and Italo disco. Signature releases include his debut album Romantic Fiction on Dischi Autunno and the acclaimed Next Wave Acid Punx compilation series on Eskimo Recordings. He maintains a consistent presence in the underground scene through his Ombra International imprint and a long running residency on Rinse FM France.
