Based in the United Kingdom, Andrew Davies, known as Degs, is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and vocalist who has become a central figure in the contemporary drum and bass scene. His sound bridges the gap between high-energy club rhythms and soulful, song-oriented songwriting, drawing heavily from his background in hip-hop, R&B, and his Kenyan heritage. Key releases include his debut album Letters From Ndegwa (2020, Hospital Records), the breakthrough single Poveglia (2018, Hospital Records), and his second studio album If We Left This Earth (2025, Hospital Records). Beyond his solo work, he is one half of the neo-soul project Kikuyu Soul, which explores downtempo and hip-hop textures.
