Desyn Masiello is a London house and techno DJ and producer who came up in the British club scene of the 1990s and broke through internationally in the mid-2000s. He built his name on warm, groove-driven sets that move between progressive house, tech house, deep house and techno, drawing on disco, funk and soul. He mixed the acclaimed Balance 008 compilation in 2005 and delivered a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix in 2004, and he was signed to Deep Dish's booking agency during his rise. As co-founder of the Alternative Route and Sexonwax labels, and one third of The Idiots alongside Omid 16B, he has long championed quirky, underground dance music. He has played major rooms and festivals from Ministry of Sound in London to Australia's Good Vibrations, with regular stops across Miami, New York, Berlin and Amsterdam. Decades in, he remains a selector's DJ, prized for flawless mixing and deep record knowledge over hype.
