Mauro Ventura, known professionally as DJ Saliva, is a Berlin based artist and resident DJ for the influential queer techno collective Herrensauna. Originally from Portugal, Ventura maintains a multidisciplinary practice that bridges electronic music, painting, and visual development, often curating the aesthetic identity of the Herrensauna brand. Their DJ sets are characterized by a hybrid fusion of old school and contemporary sounds, spanning electro, breaks, trance, and techno with a focus on trippy, percussive, and tribal textures. Beyond their residency at Berlin venues like Tresor and RSO, they have performed at international clubs including Basement in New York City and FOLD in London. By treating rhythm as a physical force and distortion as a language, DJ Saliva creates immersive, high energy sets that consistently challenge conventional club structures.
