DJ Three is an American DJ and producer who has carried the flag for US underground dance music since the early 1990s, rising out of Florida before making New York his base. His sound favors deep, dark, and psychedelic strains of house and techno, built for long, hypnotic journeys rather than quick payoffs. He founded the Hallucienda label, the evolution of his earlier Hallucination Recordings, and has held residencies at storied rooms including New York's Twilo, Cielo, and Love, and Florida's Simons. Decades in, he remains a respected torchbearer for American underground club culture. His sets prize atmosphere and patience above all.
