Doctor P, the alias of English producer and DJ Shaun Brockhurst, emerged from Towcester as a foundational figure in the development of modern bass music. He co-founded Circus Records in 2009, a label that became instrumental in shaping the trajectory of dubstep through releases like his 2010 breakthrough anthem Sweet Shop. His production style frequently bridges the gap between aggressive, synth-heavy dubstep and drum and bass, often incorporating high-energy, anthemic hooks. Beyond his solo work, he maintains a long-standing creative partnership with Flux Pavilion and has collaborated with artists including Method Man and Dillon Francis. He continues to perform globally at major festivals and remains an active force in the bass scene through consistent releases and label management.
