Echonomist

Melodic techno and indie dance from Thessaloniki, playing from Fabric to Burning Man.

Echonomist is the alias of Petros Manganaris, a DJ and producer born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece, where he became a fixture of the country's electronic scene while building an international following. His sound moves between deep, melodic techno and tech house, built on rolling basslines, harmonic synths and hypnotic percussion. He has released on labels including Innervisions, Kompakt, Afterlife and TAU, and has played clubs and festivals such as fabric in London, Katerholzig and Watergate in Berlin, and Kazantip in Ukraine. His early production work began under the downtempo project I.N.O. before he turned fully to house and techno as Echonomist. Booking runs through separate management and regional agencies, reflecting a touring footprint that keeps expanding. More than a decade in, Echonomist remains a steady presence in the deep and melodic end of European club music.
