Eric Umble is a Brooklyn-based DJ, party promoter, and classically trained clarinetist, originally from Pennsylvania. He co-founded and serves as resident for the queer-centered FACETIME and QUALITY TIME parties, established in 2019, which are staples of New York City's underground dance scene. Umble's sound is techno-forward, drawing influences from Detroit techno, New York house, and experimental modernism, resulting in driving, hypnotic, and melodic sets. He has performed at prominent New York City venues including BASEMENT, Nowadays, and Bossa Nova Civic Club, where he held a 2024 residency, alongside appearances in Detroit and Philadelphia. Umble actively cultivates inclusive dance music communities, bridging his background in experimental classical music with contemporary electronic forms. His dedication to fostering vibrant, queer-positive spaces positions him as a significant figure in the evolving New York club landscape.
