90s dance energy meets explosive club anthems; high-octane electronic duo.

Fcukers feel like one of the more convincing New York acts to come out of the recent indie-dance and rave-pop crossover wave because they do not approach dance music like polished lifestyle branding or straight club purism. The duo, built around Shanny Wise and Jackson Walker Lewis, make party music that feels messy, sexy, and deliberately loose in the right way, pulling from ’90s dance, house, big beat, and dance-pop without making it sound like a sterile revival project. What makes them connect is that there is both attitude and instinct in the music. It has that downtown, afters, fashion-party energy, but the songs still feel catchy and physical enough to actually work in a room. They come off less like traditional electronic heads and more like a band using dance music as a social language, which is a big reason they have built such a strong identity so quickly. In the current scene, they feel like one of the clearer examples of New York club culture being reinterpreted for a younger, more image-aware generation without losing all of the grit.
