Born in Brașov, Romania, and currently based in Washington, D.C., Alexandru Galetus produces under the alias FIBRE. He operates at the intersection of French house, nu disco, and future funk, utilizing sample heavy plunderphonics and microsampling techniques. FIBRE gained early recognition as a manager of the Future Society collective and through his 2016 collaborative project "Virtues EP" with Aritus. He later founded the house and disco label Montaime, which released his 2021 project "810" and the 2025 expanded edition "Virtues Deluxe". Recent activity includes a 2025 North American tour and a back to back performance with Discoholic at MAGFest 2025. By bridging the nostalgic textures of vaporwave with the rhythmic drive of classic French touch, FIBRE maintains a distinct position within the modern internet born electronic underground.
