Veteran techno DJ, vinyl selector delivering high energy, driving sets.
Alessio Armeni, known as Freddy K, is an Italian DJ and producer who has significantly shaped the global techno landscape since 1991. Originally from Rome, where he launched the influential Virus radio show in 1993, he relocated to Berlin in 2009, establishing the vinyl-only imprint KEY Vinyl. Renowned for his marathon, strictly vinyl sets and a "360°-style of techno," his sound fluidly incorporates elements from Chicago acid and electro, building from immersive textures to pounding rhythms. His debut album, "Rage Of Age" (ACV, 1995), showcased a dark, noisy aesthetic, while his label continues to champion emerging talents like Héctor Oaks. A tireless advocate for vinyl culture and a key figure in Berlin's underground, Freddy K remains a respected selector whose dynamic performances connect generations of dancers.
