Queer dance pioneer, amplifying soulful house and activist spirit.

London based DJ, producer, and curator GIDEÖN is a central figure in the preservation and advancement of queer dance music history. His practice is deeply rooted in the foundational sounds of house, disco, and soul, which he explores through his label Homo Centric Records and his work as a co founder of the Block9 festival collective. He maintains long standing residencies at London queer institution Adonis and Berlin club Panorama Bar, while his production work, including the Ritmo EP released in 2022 on his own imprint, reflects a commitment to the genre's LGBTQIA+ heritage. Beyond the booth, he is a vocal political activist who frequently organizes hybrid cultural events that bridge music and protest. GIDEÖN stands out as a vital link between the historical roots of house music and contemporary underground club culture, consistently using his platform to amplify marginalized voices and protect the queer lineage of the dance floor.
