Originally from Southern California and currently based in Brooklyn, New York, Great Dane is a foundational figure in the West Coast beat scene and a co-founder of the influential TeamSupreme collective. The producer and DJ, born Dane Morris, built his reputation on a signature blend of heavy bass, half-time trap, and gritty hip-hop instrumentals. His catalog includes defining early releases like the 2013 debut album "Alpha Dog" and 2014's "Beta Cat" on Alpha Pup Records, alongside his 2023 full-length project "Epsilon Iguana" on ADBC Records. Over the years, he has performed at major festivals such as Shambhala and Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, while sharing stages with artists like Ivy Lab, Mr. Carmack, and Barclay Crenshaw. His sound pairs trunk-rattling low end with intricate, genre-bending production techniques that draw from both classical roots and modern club music. By consistently bridging the gap between underground beat cyphers and large-scale bass music stages, Great Dane remains a key figure in the modern electronic hip-hop crossover.
