HOPESTARXX is a Jamaican-Nigerian DJ based in Brooklyn, New York. Her sets move across Afro house, afrotech, gqom, amapiano and ghettotech, folding in hip hop, dancehall and R&B for a rhythm-forward sound rooted in the African and Caribbean diaspora. She hosts the Star Routes Radio series and shares edits and mixes through SoundCloud. A regular on Brooklyn's underground party circuit, she plays local club nights including Mood Ring. Her blend of African club rhythms with Caribbean and American vocal music marks her as a distinctive new voice in the borough's dance scene.
