Ignez is a Dutch producer and DJ who grew up near the North Sea coast of the Netherlands, an environment he cites as shaping his tight, hypnotic techno. He founded the Somov Records label to release his own work and has since appeared on respected imprints such as Token and SK_eleven, plus two collaborative EPs with Rødhåd. His DJ sets are driving, minimalistic and trance-inducing, pulling dancefloors into a collective, oceanic state. A residency at the underground Eerste Communie shaped his craft, and he now plays clubs and festivals worldwide, from RADION in Amsterdam to Berghain in Berlin.
