Ivy Lab is a London bass music act that began as a North London trio and now operates as the duo of Sabre and Stray. The project helped define the halftime and future beats movement, folding hip-hop swing and drum machine electronica into a foundation rooted in the UK drum and bass and bass music scene. Their 2015 compilation 20/20 Volume 1 arrived on their own label 20/20 LDN Recordings, which was named Best Breakthrough Label at the DJ Mag Best of British Awards in 2016, and cuts such as Spooky Dub, Can't Say No and Peninsula, alongside remixes for Banks and Noisia, cemented their reputation. Ivy Lab also ran the 20/20 LDN club night, based largely at Brixton's Phonox in London, and have played festivals including Glastonbury, EDC Las Vegas, Sonar and Outlook. They announced Ivy Lab: A Farewell Tour to close out one of UK bass music's most inventive and boundary-blurring projects.
