Born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens, Joe Flores operates under the moniker Joeski as a foundational figure in the New York City house music scene. Emerging in the early 1990s as a founding member of The Chocolate Factory DJ collective, he built his reputation through residencies at legendary Manhattan venues like Limelight, Tunnel, and The Roxy. Joeski launched his own Maya Records imprint in 2001, releasing signature tracks like "Hustler's Revenge" and his collaboration with DJ Chus on "El Amor," which helped define the tribal house sound of the era. His extensive production catalog spans three decades with releases on Crosstown Rebels, Defected, Hot Creations, and Dirtybird, alongside recent collaborative work with Diplo on the Higher Ground label. Known for a deep, hypnotic aesthetic that blends rolling tech house grooves with organic percussion, he maintains a rigorous international touring schedule that includes regular appearances at Hï Ibiza and a monthly Yage residency in Brooklyn.
