John Digweed

A foundational architect of progressive house known for marathon sets and the Bedrock label.

Born in Hastings, England, John Digweed is a foundational figure in progressive house and techno. He first gained international prominence alongside Sasha through their landmark mix compilations, including the 1994 release "The Mix Collection" on Renaissance and the 1996 release "Northern Exposure" on Ministry of Sound. In 1999, Digweed launched Bedrock Records with production partner Nick Muir, establishing an imprint that has consistently championed deep and atmospheric club music for over two decades. His career is defined by marathon sets and prestigious residencies, most notably his historic tenure at Twilo in New York City, as well as his long running Transitions radio show. Recent activity includes a massive pop up event in Rosario, Argentina, in early 2026, and the announcement of his "Live At Twilo" archival recording. Digweed remains a vital architect of underground dance music, maintaining a rigorous standard for intricate track selection that continues to influence the global circuit.
