Dutch deep tech selector rolling funk-fuelled house grooves with hypnotic momentum

Julian Anthony is a Dutch DJ and producer who came up through the Netherlands underground house scene. His sets and productions move between funk-fuelled house, rolling minimal and deep tech, and raw electro, holding a continuous groove rather than chasing big drops. He has released on respected imprints including Dungeon Meat, Beeyou Records and fabric Originals, and delivered a debut solo EP on X-Kalay. On the road he has played DC10 in Ibiza, fabric in London, and Berlin's Hoppetosse, while at home he curates his own nights at Shelter Amsterdam and has appeared at Thuishaven and Wildeburg Festival. Aligned with crews such as Slapfunk, VBX and Half Baked, he has toured as far as Australia and South America. Julian Anthony sits among the current wave of European artists carrying the funk-driven, groove-first end of underground house.
