Deep, soulful Afro House built for atmospheric enviroments

Kitty Amor is a London-based DJ and producer specializing in Afro House and African electronic house, with deep, soulful, and percussive sets built around African rhythmic patterns. Over roughly a decade she has become a pillar of the United Kingdom's Afro House scene, co-running the Motherland and Sessions residency nights alongside Sef Kombo and heading her own label, Mahaba Music. In January 2019 she became the first UK DJ from the African electronic music scene to play London's Printworks, and later that year became the first female DJ to perform at Deep In The City, the Johannesburg night curated by Black Coffee and Themba. Her production credits include a remix of Dennis Ferrer's 'Hey Hey' with Da Capo for Defected and a remix of Dot Major's 'Navi'. She has carried the sound to major stages including Glastonbury Festival, CORE at Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, and Ibiza. As one of the scene's most visible advocates for African electronic music, she remains a leading voice in Afro House's continued global rise.
