Lenny Dee is a New York DJ and producer and a founding figure of hardcore techno and gabber. He started as a house DJ in 1980s New York before turning to harder, faster sounds, and in 1991 he founded Industrial Strength Records, the label that released Marc Acardipane's We Have Arrived, widely cited as the first hardcore techno record. Over three decades he has DJed EDC, Tomorrowland, Mayday, Love Parade, and Thunderdome, shaping the industrial and gabber underground worldwide. His sets are stomping 4/4 hardcore, rave synths, and relentless energy. Lenny Dee remains one of the genre's defining architects.
