Michelle Kay is a DJ and producer based in Brooklyn, New York, who focuses on raw, hypnotic, and hardgroove techno. She serves as the Creative Director and a resident DJ for the local collective and label IMPULSE CØNTROL, where she helps curate events across cities like Amsterdam, Berlin, and New York. Her sound blends driving percussive force with sustained grooves, drawing heavy inspiration from classic Detroit techno and modern minimalism. Kay frequently performs in the local underground circuit at notable venues such as H0L0, Elsewhere, SILO, and Bossa Nova Civic Club. She recently released her debut track, "View from Above," on the IMPULSE CØNTROL compilation ICRVA02, and has collaborated with regional event series like RAW CUTS and OnlyFemmes. She has also performed at the Amsterdam Dance Event and various warehouse activations across the East Coast.
