Mike Parker is an American techno producer and DJ, originally from Michigan and based in Buffalo, New York, who emerged from the US warehouse party scene in the mid-1990s. He developed a unique, experimental interpretation of techno, characterized by hypnotic, abstract, and spatially evocative sound design. Parker established his Geophone imprint in 1998, serving as the primary outlet for his distinctive productions. His discography includes seminal releases such as "Voiceprint" (1999) and the acclaimed album "Dispatches" (2001), which was reissued in 2024 by Field Records. Known for recording live on analogue gear without edits, Parker has also released on labels including Tresor, Semantica, and Prologue. His meticulous approach and consistent sound have cemented his status as an influential veteran in the global techno landscape.
