Ballroom pioneer MikeQ brings high energy house and groovy beats.

MikeQ, born Michael Cox, is a New Jersey-based DJ, producer, and a pivotal figure in the global ballroom and vogue house scene. Emerging from Newark's vibrant club culture in the mid-2000s, he quickly became known for his "ecstatic ballroom house" sound, characterized by high energy, sensual synths, and spine-snapping rhythms. He founded the influential Qween Beat label in 2012, dedicated to fostering ballroom music and artists. MikeQ's work includes the 2011 debut EP "Let It All Out" on Fade to Mind, featuring the impactful "The Ha Dub Rewerk'd" and "Feels Like," the latter famously sampled by Beyoncé in 2022. He has served as the resident DJ for all three seasons of HBO Max's "Legendary" and co-founded the "House of Vogue" party in New York City, consistently championing and expanding ballroom culture worldwide. MikeQ's enduring commitment to the underground ballroom sound has cemented his status as a vital ambassador and innovator within electronic music.
