Mikki Afflick is a veteran DJ, producer, and label owner, born in Panama and raised in Brooklyn, New York, now based between New York and Miami. Known as "The House Empress," her sound, dubbed "An AfflickteD Soul Mix," fuses Afro, Latin, Soulful, and Tek elements, often characterized by percussive, deep grooves. She founded Soul Sun Soul Music in 2009, releasing numerous chart-topping singles and albums, including "Dream Catcher" and "Thunder Drum Dance" on Nervous Records, remixed by David Morales. Afflick has shared stages with industry figures like Louie Vega, Black Coffee, and David Morales, and her recent work, such as "Ancestral Frequencies" and "Humble Beginnings" with Morris Revy, has garnered Grammy consideration.
