Ballroom-charged Chicago club with global sounds from the FUTUREHOOD founder

Mister Wallace, born Erik Lamar Wallace II, is a Chicago rapper, DJ, and founder of the queer independent label and collective FUTUREHOOD. Their music fuses ballroom, club, and house with rap, celebrating queer culture in both its sound and its lyrics. Early releases include the 2016 FAGGOT EP and the later SPKY SZN EP, alongside collaborative work such as It's Time To Dance with Chrissy and Zzz featuring Cakes Da Killa, with records landing on Nervous Records and Get Up Recordings. Wallace has performed for platforms including Boiler Room, Red Bull, and Berlin's WHOLE Festival, and remains a fixture of New York's dweller festival and the wider Chicago underground. As a label head and performer, Wallace has spent a decade building space for Black and queer artists in dance music.
