Multi-genre D.C. selector flipping gqom, jersey club and house into restless edits

Nativesun is a Washington, D.C. DJ and producer with close to a decade organizing and playing parties across the DMV electronic scene. His sets move fluidly between House, Techno, Jersey club, Baltimore club, UK Funky, Footwork, Amapiano, gqom and Jungle, built largely from his own edits and refixes. In 2021 he co-founded the Black Rave Culture project with Amal and James Bangura, releasing two critically acclaimed albums on HAUS of ALTR and appearing at Sustain-Release, Slingshot Festival in North Carolina and Boiler Room D.C. that same year. He has since played Nowadays and Dweller Fest in New York, returned to Boiler Room for an NYC set, and shared work with Kelela, DJ Lag and Ari Lennox. A restless multi-genre selector, Nativesun keeps a constant presence on the D.C. dancefloor while carrying its club-music diversity to rooms across the country.
