Neil Landstrumm is a Scottish electronic producer and live performer based in Edinburgh, recognized for his pioneering contributions to techno since the mid 1990s. His career is defined by a restless evolution across styles, moving from the jacking Chicago house influences of his early Peacefrog releases to the metallic, bass heavy textures found on his Tresor albums. He later explored mutant shades of grime, dubstep, and UK bass on labels like Planet Mu, maintaining a signature sound characterized by raw hardware rhythms and off kilter funk. Notable releases include the classic 1995 album Brown By August, the 1997 Tresor LP Bedrooms and Cities, and the 2013 return to techno form Dragon Under on Sneaker Social Club. A dedicated live artist, he operates his own Scandinavia imprint and continues to produce music that bridges British electronic heritage with modern, experimental textures.
