Nymphostar, the DJ alias of Coco Forgie, is a Kansas-born multimedia artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Her sets center on intense, hypnotic techno that draws on Detroit techno, electro, and acid, built around hard driving rhythms, erotic samples, and references ranging from heavy metal to pop. She has become a regular of the New York City underground, playing venues including Bossa Nova Civic Club, Mood Ring, and Paragon. Before stepping behind the decks she spent years working in nightlife, helping book and creative direct over a hundred parties, a community-first approach that shapes how she reads a room. Her SoundCloud gathers live recordings, among them a hard-hitting set captured at Bossa Nova Civic Club. A new and fast-developing name in Brooklyn techno, she ties together many creative mediums as she builds her craft.
