Hailing from Madrid, Spain, Oscar Mulero is a foundational figure in the international techno scene whose career spans over three decades. He emerged in the late 1980s, drawing early inspiration from gothic rock and electronic body music before pivoting to the industrial and hypnotic techno sound that defines his work today. As the founder of the influential labels Warm Up Recordings and PoleGroup, he has consistently shaped the aesthetic of underground techno through his own productions and by platforming like minded artists. His signature sound is characterized by dense, textured synth work, driving percussion, and a stark, atmospheric intensity that remains focused on the dancefloor. Notable releases include the 2012 album Black Propaganda on Warm Up Recordings, the 2018 experimental album Perfect Peace on Semantica Records, and the 2024 EP The Stranger on Token.
