Perc, the alias of Ali Wells, is a London DJ, producer, and label head regarded as a key figure in global techno. He built his reputation on a hard, industrial-leaning sound that twists established techno forms into darker, more abrasive shapes. He runs the influential Perc Trax label and has released across imprints including Drumcode and CLR. His live and DJ sets, including appearances for Boiler Room, are known for gritty, high-pressure energy. Beyond his own productions he has remixed and collaborated widely across the techno underground. He remains one of the UK's most recognizable exponents of heavy, uncompromising techno.
