Pilgrims of the Mind is the project of Stephane Novak, a producer from Vancouver, Canada and a seminal figure in the country's West Coast underground. Active since 1993, he emerged from Vancouver's warehouse scene of the 1990s with a meticulous fusion of psychedelic house, ambient, dubby downtempo and proto-trance. His music has appeared across three decades on labels including OM Records, Ministry of Sound, Interchill, Map Music, Waveform and Echovolt. His catalogue drew renewed attention through the acclaimed 2023 reissue of his 1997 record What's Your Shrine? by London label Heels and Souls, alongside EP reissues on the Greek imprint Echovolt. He performs live, translating that spacious, hypnotic body of work into an immersive set.
