Ponyboy is an emerging NYC local DJ whose sound blends groovy tech house with bass-house energy and a crowd-friendly sense of momentum. The appeal is that the sets feel underground without becoming too heady or inaccessible, balancing club pressure with enough bounce and familiarity to work in a wide range of rooms. There is also a clear Berlin influence in the mix, especially in the way the sound leans darker, more driving, and built for late-night dancefloors rather than pure peak-time flash. At the same time, Ponyboy still reads as a local selector who understands New York crowds, which gives the project a strong mix of underground credibility and approachability. Overall, Ponyboy feels like the kind of DJ who can keep a room locked in while still making it fun, groovy, and easy for people to connect with.
