Rick Wilhite is a Detroit house and disco institution, known across the scene as 'the Godson.' He is a founding member of the Detroit supergroup 3 Chairs alongside Moodymann, Theo Parrish, and Marcellus Pittman, and ran the influential Vibes New and Rare Music record store in the city. His sound leans on deep house, nu-disco, and the atmospheric, soulful end of Detroit dance music, built over more than three decades behind the decks. He has played Boiler Room Detroit and toured deep-house rooms and festivals worldwide. Wilhite remains one of Detroit's most respected selectors and a living link to the city's house lineage.
