Detroit native and Brooklyn based artist Rimarkable is a multifaceted DJ, producer, vocalist, and educator who bridges the gap between house, techno, and the Black diasporic traditions of soul, funk, and jazz. Her career spans over two decades, marked by a commitment to autonomy and the spiritual dimensions of dance music, which she explores through her own productions and her Alchemy of DJing curriculum at New York University. She has released notable tracks such as I'm In Trouble on Dirt Tech Reck and collaborated with artists like Honey Dijon and Jitwam. A prominent figure in the global house scene, she serves as a host for Defected Radio and has performed at major institutions including Movement Detroit and various international clubs. Her work functions as a ritualistic practice, blending technical precision with a deep reverence for the history and healing potential of the dancefloor. She stands out as a vital cultural architect who treats the DJ booth as a space for both liberation and rigorous artistic inquiry.
